That is great news! I am excited about the city backing this, it really is about time. The sport is low impact, and is good for seniors too. I have several friends over 60 who have really enjoyed the leisure and activity of the sport.
It is time to start working closely with youth groups, summer camps, and the school programs to get field trips to the local courses. With enough interest generated by these esteemed institutions, the powers that be may start to take an interest and help.
Why is it that the northern island areas are packed with disc golf courses, but yet in the lower area we are hard put to find a field to play in. Wake up Victoria, Disc Golf ain't going away.
I think that this course is the one we played in Comox at the Village Park Rec Center, i blogged about it on the homepage here. ITs a nice 9 hole, and is tucked in a woods so it's easy to play in the rain and in the hot sun. I have a feeling from how new it was that this is the one. Correct me if i am wrong.
