Extreme Disc Golf continues with a trip to Ammonite Falls on Benson Creek near Nanimo, bordering the Malaspina Woodlot. It is a beautiful trek from the main trail and includes steep, treacherous waterfalls and ropes to assist in getting up and down the trails. You can easily access the top and bottom of the falls, so we placed the basket at the bottom for this filming to reduce the loss of disc factor.
We had a relatively small loss of discs. The falls are 20 + metres (70-80 feet) with a steep rock wall surrounding it encrusted with ammonites, a fossil snail that lived in this river so long ago. You can find all sorts of them stuck into the rock.
This is an extreme shot, don't run up and don't fall off the falls. And yes, if anyone else tries this, you need a spotter at the bottom of the falls to ensure that there is nobody else there and to watch where the discs land.
