So we actually hiked up the trail from the highway to the Goldstream railway trestle, which is a few kilometres, carrying a full weight regulation basket with 24 chains. Man was it heavy. So we placed it on the area where you can go to look out over the river and see the view, and it was wonderful. And then discs started flying. We have yet to go to the riverbed (where the water is very shallow now, pretty much dried up) so we have a good chance of recovering discs, if the other people who walk the trails haven't picked them up yet.
You must make sure you go there later in the evening, after the last train has gone, so you can have an unobstucted and safer view of the 300+ meter drop off below you
We lost A LOT of discs on that particular shot, but it was SO worth it. I raided my old disc collection, and you will find some nice discs if you hike those trails.
